I'm Indendent actually but as I've normally voted Democrat in past elections, I'm answering over here...

I'm voting for the platform, not the party. If a Republican has the better ideas, in my opinion, I see nothing wrong with voting for them.

Well, both.

I care who gets the nomination because I want the strongest candidate to run - giving us all a better chance of getting a Democratic president. I support Obama.

That being said, I will vote for the Democratic candidate no matter what. Hell, I'd vote for a chicken before I voted for a Republican. I simply don't agree with the party's inability to put aside religion, and I certainly don't agree with Republicans on issues like gun control, military spending and a woman's right t choose.

It does count to me, i elect Fred Thompson. If he would not get the nominee, this is going to truly remember on who the candidate is to notwithstanding if I vote for the Republican or abstain. there's no longer a democrat that comes close sufficient to my way of questioning or my values to even think of approximately vote casting for them at present. besides the undeniable fact that, I certainly have a pair deal breaker themes, so if a RINO gets the nom, i will in all likelihood abstain interior the final election.

If Ron Paul received the Republican nomination I might consider voting for him, but I feel there are better Democratic candidates.

If it's Hilary, I won't vote Democratic. If the Republican is anybody I can tolerate, I'll vote for him. If not, I'll vote Libertarian or Green Party or anything as a protest. Or maybe I'll write in Mike Gravel.

It depends. Right now my biggest issue is the economy. If it makes a turn for the worse . . . start looking for the blame to fall on China. If we penalize China via protectionist measures we are essentially cutting off our nose despite our face. I will not vote for a Democrat that unduly punishes China.

RAGE doesn't seem to grasp that under Hillary's plan there will be fewer rich conservatives while over the last 25 years the economy has produced a rapidly growing number of rich people.

luisamapacha:

look up guliani. although he is a republican he supports the women's right to choose, he's a lot more open-minded than others and I have never really heard about his religious thoughts to be honest unless he is asked. Just thought that I would open your mind a little bit, since you seem not to be as open as you seem to think.
