When do you start ovulating? is it 21 days from the first day of your period or 21 days after as a need to get a blood test done on the 21st day but dont know when??????????

so whats the blood test for? as the doctor said i had to have it done on the 21st day.

day one is the first day of your period so count to 21 days later and then go for the blood test.
They are testing for your blood progesterone level if it is above a certain level then it shows you have ovulated if its too low then you haven't.
This is going on a typical 28 day cycle but not every woman has a 28 day cycle

Your doctor should have explained it to you, don't know why he/she didn't.
The blood test would be part of your fertility testing. A week after you're supposed to ovulate (usually the 21st day after the first day of your last period) they do a progesterone blood test. The progesterone in your blood is measured and if it's high it means ovulation has taken place.

Day one is the first day of your period, so you count from there and have the blood taken on the 21st day. This is provided that you have a 28 day cycle.

Kelly is right. Generally it is about 10-14 days from the start of your period.

No it's around the 14th day from the first day you had you period.
