Yeah, score the outside of the ham, place the cloves in the areas where the scores cross, and then pour a sugary glaze over the ham (can't remember what it's made with).

Good stuff!

1 gallon of Island Punch orange juice
2 cans of sliced pineapple
1 container of marachino cherries
1 ham
brown sugar
Slice the top of the ham about a half inch deep diagonally from top left to bottom right then from bottom left to top right creating a diamond pattern.
Place a clove in each intersection allowing only the 'head' to be visible and dust top of ham with brown sugar.
Place whole pineapple slices over the ham and a cherry in the center of each pineapple slice.
Gently pour pineapple juice over the ham, then the orange juice (about half gallon depending on size of ham and container), dust top with brown sugar again after adding the juices so the juices do not rinse it off.
Place in oven at 350 degrees for about 1 1/2 hr basting ham with the juices after the first half hour then every fifteen minutes. *voila*

My ex son in law soaks the ham over night in orange juice. It is wonderful. We don't have the son in law any more but the ham recipe is still with us.
We also pour honey over it after it has been in the oven for about 1 hour.

cloves, oj, brown sugar and pineapple even maple syurp. if you dont have maple syurp use maple pancake syurp it will taste the same. use a real ham not a can ham but if you use can ham make sure you put something on top for flavor or it is just plain old ham.

Marinate it with 7-up/Sprite/Sierra Mist. Don't forget the pineapple, too!

Mmmm.... Ham. We have ham every year at my Gram's house!
