Yes. This is very often due to specific things about them that your brain has picked up and processed so quickly that you are not even aware of having noticed anything out of the ordinary. It is a protection for you that you should not ignore.

I'm pretty good at picking it up. I'm usually the first to sense if someone has some type of hidden agenda or is just plain weird.

Yeppers...doesn't happen often (thankfully) but it has occured...and I get that 'spine tensing' feeling every time I'm around them.
