Many lenders, banks in particular, deal in any sort of secured loan other than second mortgages. Other institutions deal almost exclusively in secured loans. Finance companies that deal in secured loans can be found in your phone book, newspaper, and increasingly, online.Shopand can get a good idea of what each can offer you in terms of interest and other finance charges and fees. Choose the best one for your needs, and apply for the loan.

Not all private lenders are bad. Usually private money could have higher interest rates because it's not a federally funded transaction (in-house). I work with some mortgage companies that use private funds and their totally legit. Look around, ask local Realtors/builders for some advice, they would be able to tell you some that have bad reputations around town. The word gets out eventually. Friends & family are very good sources also! Everyone in business loves a referal.

You have to be more specific. Do you need a private lender for a house - car - personal bills - makeup and shoes. What? There are private lenders for different needs.

See Prosper.com for lenders.

Hello friend good luck on your Loan search... I'm posting this to warn

you and others on yahoo! abt Loan scams.
Beware of Advance fee Loan scams.
LOAN SCAM - Do Not Pay UpFront Fees.
Do not send money UpFront via Western Union or MoneyGram to any person

or business in the UK, Nigeria or Canada in hopes of getting a loan. If

you do you will learn a hard lesson & never see any Loan money.

Remember, if it sounds too good
to be true, it probably is! NEVER give out your personal information to

strangers online! Always be on guard.
Please be aware. You have been warned!

Any "Private Lenders" responding to your question are scammers and are to be avoided at all costs.

You can try www.prosper.com but it won't be quick.

Beyond that or a bank, you would be limited to asking friends or family.
