Since you test drive cars before you buy, and you taste cheese before you buy, don't you think it is a good idea to fully test drive a potential partner before committing??? ;)

Yes ! I think it's one of the best things you can do in a relationship before you get married... I dated my now husband for 12 yrs. before we got married and we lived together right after we got engaged so we lived together a bit over a yr. before we got married.. HIS family wasn't happy but, lets be honest we dated for 12 yrs. what do they think was going on ! I think that in the long run living together helps couples connect and think about their relationships before they get married.. It's a good idea.... Good luck

I have to wonder what you mean by "fully" test drive... sounds a little icky.
However, if you mean to have a sexual relationship, live with, pay bills with, etc., someone you could marry - yes, I believe in that.
I assume that "committing" to you means to be in a relationship with only one person and not screwing anything else that has a pulse... right?

There was a time I would say.."no..that should not matter at all.."

HAH!!!.

.That has all changed since my ex..never again will i be in such a selfish relationship as I had with him. yes, i think it is important to know what is to come..life is too short to comprimise on anything but what thrills.

Although I don't like the idea of being compaired to a car I do unstand your logic behind your wording.

I think it's ok as long as the other party will agree to it. Using the principle "Don't do to others what you don't want others to you" will surely help.
