An education is everything if people want to get somewhere in life. If for some reason people do have to drop out of school, then they should go for their GED.

Some people need to latch on to anything to make themselves feel superior. A lot of people make a good living without a high school degree. It's good to have, but not always necessary.

Well its just that the chances of getting a higher paying job are harder, thats all....I don't think anyone has a "grudge" but it is looked down upon.

I know many people who didn't even get passed 8th grade. they read a lot - work with their hands and are happy.
If you learn how to read- the world is yours. but if you are illiterate- it will be a tough row to hoe.
