I know I did...I was thrilled with myself because I finally had the guts to throw the cheating, abusive, junkie bastard out. I even threw a party :-)

Yes. Some people should not be married. Ever. I've heard some of my friends say they wish they're parents had divorced years ago, "So everyone would've been happy." I've been happily married since I'm 19, despite the odds against us, considering the divorce rate these days. I am 31 now. We could've called it quits many times for different reasons. But, we chose to stay together b/c at the end of the day, we are the only ones we want and need. Everything else is nonexistent and unimportant.

Well I would hope so, seeing as how people generally get a divorce to get out of a situation that is already making them unhappy.
Ultimately I believe being happy is a choice. If a person makes up their mind to be happy, they will be. But it works the other way too. It's sad that so many people are unhappy in this world when all they really have to do is change the way they think.

Happiness is found within. Sometimes getting a divorce removes one of the outside influences that make being happy more difficult.

If your divorce was that bad, maybe, but it will take a while. You can't just be happy by signing a piece of paper saying that you're no longer together. It will take a while to get over everything that you've been through.

The reason people get divorced is to get out of a miserable relationship and become happy again. Once it is all over, and your head can finally clear, happiness takes over!

Oh yes....You could not be too happy if you are getting a divorce so---when the divorce is done...happiness should be there.

Oh yeah! I have known many people who were much happier after divorce. Sadness can be found in others.

Don't know that I would call it happiness. More like an end to a bad story, I don't think it can ever be happiness maybe more of a relief.
