I really enjoy racing in my car but it's totally against the law to do it on the street. However I was wondering if there are race tracks or something like that where you can use your own vehicle to drag race against other people legally? Does such a thing exist anywhere?

I have a 95 Buick Roadmaster...with the big V8. One guy I raced said, "Wow, that big old car can MOVE! I'm impressed!" :)

Many drag strips will have days when you can race your street car. You will have to sign a liability waver, saying that you will not sue the track for any reason.

Call tracks in your area, and see if and when they have open race days!

Yes, they are called drag strips..
they are all over the country.
you will have a great time
and will be much wiser than most of the people on yahoo(about cars) if you go there, even one time

bracket racing - try googling " drag strip" in your home town.

Your insurance is void once you pull on the track.

If you wreck it's on you to fix it.
