What size company and does the person requesting the accounting records suspect fraud is involved and want to check theings out?

The accountant has a duty to make sure that the records and financial reports are accurate and fairly reflect the actual status of the corporation. In doing so, he allows the shareholders to know the honest and accurate financial status of the company.
