What is there to do in San Francisco for a Torist on a Saturday?

Question

I'm travelling to San Fancisco with Work and have the Saturday 25th free before I fly back to England - what do you recommend I do / see while I am there from aroun 8am - 4pm?

Golden Gate Park - visit the Japanese tea house
Top of the Mark (for a drink)

San Francisco is a great city and there are dozens of things to do. Walk around Fisherman's Wharf and see the sea lions, visit Lombard Street and take pictures, visit a great museum, ride a street car, take pictures of the Golden Gate bridge, visit Chinatown, etc.

Chinatown is a great place to shop for SF souvenirs; especially on Grant Avenue. You can try some of the baked goods and other foods, too. Though you can get Ghiradelli chocolates (really delicious and I have had European chocolates too) at Ghiradelli Square, you can find them for less at Walgreen's (pharmacies). You can get discounted clothes at Ross, Marshalls in downtown SF.

i lived there before and trust me on my advise. if you really want to be a tourist go to pier 39 or the wharf. if you dont want to stand out as a tourist probably go to North Beach which is hella nice and beautiful. you'd also want to check out downtown and maybe go shopping for gifts for people back at home. check out japan town, china town, and maybe the gherideli if you are craving for chocolate. you'd also want to try to go on a cable car. if you do you have to the powell and hyde st. becuase it's when you go up the hills and can see the fantastic view of the city. hope my advise helped you a lot and trust you'd really want to go to these places because they are just awesome. have a safe trip
