I am thinking along the lines that the future is the future, any choices or decisions you make are part of that future and what will happen will happen.

So your future is to make decision A rather then decision B. You may think you have a choice but is that really the case?
Its just a thought.

The future is what you haven't lived yet. O.O
Of course you can change it.
But perhaps the preparations you make now will affect you greatly in the future, either putting you at a disadvantage or above the rest.
The one thing you can't change is the past, and from the future's perspective, this is the past, and you don't want any regrets, do you? Consider yourself fortunate that you are free now, and its up to you to make yourself.
Think of this: you've already lived in the future, and you wish you can go back and change your ways while you had the chance. Suddenly, you wake up, and you're young again. Now is your chance.
...
I sound (a lil bit) crazy, but thinking of that really makes me feel grateful that I've got so much more to experience.

As it goes, "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift. That's why it's called the present."

It seems that way, I agree, which is also the reason for certain people believing in a fixed destiny, or a fate in store for them as the future. For some people it does not matter what one does one will eventually end up with what is was already caved as destiny, or fate.

My personal views, however, are different and they are changing as I gain more insight into my life, life in general and the physical world that we add up to as possibly the sole active agent endowed with power of will, or ability to choose and make decisions. It is the fact that we are not merely subjected to the rest of the things, or powers, in the world, but we are also actively involved with the goings on of the world, that we can cause changes as our actions can influence the flow of event in the universe.

Then if there is fate attached to everything in this world then could we be the part of determining force in that ordination, instead of being mere recipients? Why do we always think that things only happen to us, or befall us? Could this also be true that we happen to the universe not only in form of things we do but also by virtue of our powerful, critical and inquisitive thoughts and ideas? If there is destiny then we are not only the part at the receiving end but also at the source – all action do not simply end with us, actions also pass through us. And what is the crux of the issue is that the action do not only pass through us, they originate from us, in our mind, that we are destined to affect the destiny of the world, but actions originating from our beings. There are creative powers in our mind where things take place that were never in existence ever, or anywhere, before.

The proof of this viewpoint is not only in my personal idiosyncratic thinking, it is found at the very cutting edge of scientific research. According to research in Quantum Mechanics there is nothing certain about the atoms at the heart the matter. That inside an atom, at a quantum level, things do not follow rule of familiar physical world, particles can pop up out of nowhere, and energy is created out of nothing. It is known that the very structure of an atom, and therefore that of the matter, is a flux of uncertainty, where nothing I predetermined, or ordained; that by the act of observation by an observer it all changes, all changes just by the fact that someone is observing. If not in observation atom is an entity vague and everywhere but when observed it assumes its position, shape and form, and then with the blink of an eye to all changes yet again.

This sounds crazy, because it is. But this is also true; it is true that at the root of our physical world nothing can be proved true, or false. It is place that is no place but it still is there. It is where unpredictability and uncertainty rules. If this is true then the entire universe is merely an instance of us experiencing and that it could have been different if we were not the way we are, and if we change the way we are the entirely world would change accordingly, just for us.

And now as direct answer to your question I would say, yes, we can change the future, as we are right now. It is the fact is this is one thing that we cannot not do, we cannot do anything but participate in changing the entire world around us – we are in the flux - the best we can do is to change the way things change around us, but that wont stop anything.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Prophet, Hero and Accountant are living together.
One day the Prophet says:“Tonight we will die in our home.”
The Hero decides they should all spend the night in a hotel.
The next morning the Prophet tells the Hero:
“You are a great Hero, you have changed our fate.”
The Hero replies: “Are you sure I’m a great Hero?”
“Maybe you’re just a bad Prophet.”
The Accountant says:
“Do you guys have any idea what this room is costing us?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

These three guys live inside you head.

The FUTURE is a Prophets guess; it’s what they think will happen. But Prophets, probably because of ego, talk about the future as if it was a physical thing, instead of a guess.
Prophets will never say “I guessed wrong” they will say “The FUTURE has been changed.” When a Prophets are really sure about their guess, they call it FATE.

A Hero’s job, in Prophet lingo, is to change the FUTURE.
The Hero’s must do whatever it takes, to change what the Prophet THINKS will happen, into what everyone WANTS to happen.

And the Account decides if the change is worth the effort.

Can you change the FUTURE?

Why, that’s your job, Hero. ;-)

Every action in the present changes the future in its own way, whether we realize it or not. We are however unable to shape our future quite as we want to because of two major reasons...... firstly due to the fact that other people's intents and actions have a bearing on our future and secondly on account of the fact that we do not have COMPLETE knowledge and grasp of the equation between cause and effect, especially when it involves minds of people.

We might decide on case A, but unless we put effort into it, it will not be achieved. We change the future by making a decision and putting effort into it.

It depends on whether you believe that your life has already been laid out for you from the moment you were conceived. In other words if you believe in "Destiny". If you do believe in destiny then YOU can't change your future, only the Big Man up there can change it. But if you don't believe in destiny then YOU can do anything, including changing your future.

I think that depends on the persons out look on his or her life. If we have payed attention to our past mistakes and taken what we have learned and applied it to our hearts mind and body I think we can all have a good life. If you can lose weight then I say yes you can change your future.

I didn't know my future had been arranged, if it has been 'written' then I think it is like a massive choose your own story with 100 choices each time.
