Rarely should you be required to reboot the modem - perhaps once every 6 months or so or after an assignable cause like a major power upset you may have to.

I suspect there is a config problem - and a call to your ISP should help you resolve this. I suggest you contact them.

You should never reset the modem once it has worked successfully. If you have a problem unplugging it's power and the re-connecting normally clears any problems. If this happens persistently, contact your ISP, as it could be a line fault or server error.

not really, it could be lots of people are online from the same type of connection @ the same time like DSL. The best thing to do if it fails, on your toolbar, if you have the flashing 2monitors right click then repair, otherwise open control panel, network and internet, network connections and right click on the LAN monitor thingys and repair. If it doesn't work then maybe you do have something wrong w/ modem or something. did it fall on the floor or something??

Internet Problems are there for a no. of reasons.
The best solution would be to call up Your ISP's customer care service.
Ask them to assist you step-by-step for proper working of your Internet.
They are the only People who will give you the best solution as no one on Yahoo! Answers has actually seen the setup of your internet connection.

In most cases that is the only way you can re-establish your connection.
