I use castrol GTX motor oil because I used Quaker state for about 5 years. But my car was running so hard that I asked someone about Quaker state oil they told me it was recycled. So my personal mechanic told me to use Castrol GTX motor oil.If you use synthetic oil it's more money and if use synthetic oil you can't stop using that oil.But I think you will be happy with the results with Castrol GTX.I change my oil every 3000 miles or 5000km.

Motor Oil would be a good idea. And be sure that you use it following the area you are living in. Oils have different thicknesses to help the car run better in either hot or cold temperatures. Usually it isn't wise to mix brands either. What is currently in your vehicle should be on a sticky tab in the front left corner of the windshiled. Some tabs are on the inside door section of the drivers door too. Maintainance people put it there to let you know what is in your engine and also when the next oil change is due. Do not go over 3000 miles between changes but for the better life of your engine, get it changed at 2000 miles or as near to that as you can after you go over 2000. If you are going to take a long trip, calculate the miles and if it is more than what will keep you inbetween the 2000 to 3000 milage range, get an oil change before you go. Long driving can be tedious on a car's engine. Also a good rule of thumb is to do a tire rotation evey other oil change. That way you keep your allignment in good shape too.

Well over the years I have discovered that synthetic is really no better than regular oil.
You are basically paying for the synthetic brand sometimes 5X more than conventional oil.

I use 5W30 in the Winter
and 10W30 in the Summer

Change every 3000 miles - I never could get to the 3 month mark.

I use Amsoil series 2000. It is capable of 25,000 miles or one year before an oil change. It is best to use an Amsoil filter with it. If you do, then you will have to change the filter at the 13,500 mile interval. You can use a Mobil 1 filter but you will have to change it at 7500 miles. Any other filter, it is advised to change it at 3000 miles. If you go to Amsoil.com you can find all information. And if you join the preferred customer program you will only pay the same price that an Amsoil dealer pays which is less than a regular consumer.

SYNTHETIC OIL IS ALWAYS THE BEST AND AS FOR THE CORRECT WEIGHT USE WHAT YOU MANUAL TELLS YOU TO USE.

I CHANGE THE OIL EVERY 3 MONTHS OR 3000 MILES AND TO MANY PEOPLE THAT SEEMS LIKE OVER KILL BECAUSE I AM USING SYNTHETIC OIL.

THE WAY THAT I LOOK AT IT, IT IS THE CHEAPEST FORM OF PROTECTION THAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR VEHICLE AND IF YOU DON'T MIND SPENDING A LITTLE MORE USE THE SYNTHETIC, YOU WILL GLAD IN THE LONG RUN.
