I love Hagrid!
He has always been there for Harry & is a wonderful person.

It's that Hagrid is really kind to Harry and so is Sirius especially that Sirius is his godfather.....Also if Hagrid could never have entered Harry's life when he was 11, Harry might never had gotten the letter, and never knew that he is a wizard... In the seventh book, in the chapter "The Dursleys Departing", It says that Sirius had left Harry his house after Sirius Died...Also since James is a close friend of Sirius, Sirius has to be good to Harry....Hagrid also protects Harry...Like the Chamber of Secrets for example, Hagrid tells Dumbledore URGENTLY that Harry was not the person who did all the petrifying and the writing on the wall stuff...Hagrid even proved it by showing the Petrified chickens to Dumbledore....Also, Why should I choose between Hagrid and Sirius? They are really friends...TO prove you, Sirius even lent Hagrid a motorbike shortly after Voldemort killed Lily and James...ALso Sirius, Appearing as a ghostlike figure alongside James, Lily, and Lupin, Sirius supports Harry's walk into death and assures him that dying is "quicker and easier than falling asleep". He also promises Harry that the four will remain a part of him.In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Dumbledore entrusts Hagrid with rescuing the infant Harry from his parents' house after their murder by Voldemort, and later gives him the task of locating Harry, helping him to find his bearings in the magical world and to buy his school things.
Since he introduced Harry to the wizarding world, Hagrid has been one of Harry's closest friends. Hagrid constantly watches over him, and is rather protective, seeing him as a fellow orphan and outsider. Harry in turn, apart from the
dangerous animal fixation, views Hagrid as one of the most important people in his life.Sirius also includes the most important people in Harry's Life.....

I like Hagrid better... Maybe that's because you get a better chance to get to know him in the books than you do Sirius.

That's a tough one.
Hagrid's got a heart of gold, for all creatures and his friends. He wouldn't think of doing anything wrong. It's just not in his nature, even though he is half-giant which could have made him mean.
Sirius is a wonderful individual too. He is as true a friend as anyone could be. Even though his family was bad, he managed to stay a good person. He is strong-willed which helped him survive Azkaban.
I'd say neither is better - they are both great!

i agree, i can't seem to compare them. they're both wonderful! who do you think is better...as a what? a godfather for harry? or in terms of magical abilities? or LOOKS?
Godfather..I'd say Hagrid. Sirius seems...rash :D
Magical abilities...Sirius. 'course he's a wizard! but hagrid being half-giant rebounds spells of him which is cool haha
Looks...Sirius blows Hagrid tenfold
