U.S. Army soldiers worldwide took their own life at the highest rate in 26 years, and more than 25 percent did so while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to a new military report. The winner for best documentary at last years tribecca film festival was made by soldiers serving in Iraq that stated...."providing democracy for iraqis is the last thing on our todo list, providing security for halliburton projects is our #1 priority."

well... if this is any indication, the presidential candidate that raised the most money among military personnel was Ron Paul, which is remarkable because he is one of the few candidates who proposes a unilateral pull out.

I'm sure Republicans like war because it puts something fun and interesting on their television, and the generals like it because it earns them medals, but who is looking out for the poor bloody infantry? Certainly not the big wigs in Washington

Your question doesn't fit your loaded paragraph whatsoever.
1) What does Bush's policies have to do with our soldiers' backs being against a wall.
2) If you mean militarily, then Bush's policies aren't that much different than previous presidents', and he really doesn't make the battlefield decisions. The generals and top brass do.
3) Just because some film won best documentary doesn't mean it represents the majority of the demographic, or even that it's true.
4) US Army soldiers worldwide have the highest suicide rate in 26 years because we haven't been in this type of war for well over 26 years. And the first Gulf War didn't last this long. Go check the suicide rates for Vietnam, WWI, WWII, Korea, etc. Go check the CIVILIANS working for the government's suicide rates during the Cold War.

So, I ask again, what does your question have anything to do with what you wrote below it?

Why don't you try to talk to some soldiers, instead of scouring the world for Michael Moore fodder? Including my brother I have spoke with dozens and none ever said anything like that. In fact they often say something exactly the opposite of your typical anti Bush BS. Providing democracy is number 1 priority.

Gee why didn't that film get wider coverage?

And NO, their backs are not to the wall becasue of Bush, it is the macho I can hack it tude of the fighting forces. They do not want to get help many times cause they are scared they will look weak. Then the problem hits a point where they bust out. If you had a ounce of brains you would have seen all the stories about this in the news recently.

Maybe they did that because they are puss*es. If they are going to take their own lives they may as well strap one hundred kilos of explosives to themselves and walk into a crowded area and take a few muslim's with them.
