Your 01 Cavalier should have P195/70R14 (usually) so they can range in price but at a reasonable price.$70 is not a bad price (plus install/balanced). You must decide if you want a good tire or cheap (I'd pay the extra for a good tire like a Michelin,Uniroyal or BFG) & like someone else said, you should consider 4 tires if the other 2 are worn.

13" and 14" tires are cheaper than 15"+. As stated above, not too bad with prices. Shop around for the best deal. Usually tire shops will throw in new valve stems and computer speed balanced too. Be sure to ask for that.

I use the tire rack at tirerack.com Almost all tire stores are with in a couple dollars of each other and many will price match. Look closely at buying 4 new tires. Matched sets just work better.

I would buy all four tires at the same time. For your car will be like 50 to 70 dollar each. Find any tires store that come with longer warranty and lifetime balance and rotate. I got mine from BIG O Tires that comes with lifetime balance and rotate with 75,000 miles warranty. I don't know where you live, check with big o tires or discount tires or tiretrack.

Depends on the size; by me 13" go for 2/$50.

Since there kinda small tires I cant see them being over 70$
but then you have to have them mounted and balanced for an extra charge.
