Whats the difference between them. It just depends on how much time you got to make the avatar. No time just means gray avatars but that does not mean they are not unreliable. It could be a professor taking a break answering questions for all you know.

It's not that I don't trust gray avatars, but I don't like them - it's too bland, too boring, too unknown, toooooooooo much gray. I like avatars that have some life in them or some fun in them. What's the fun in a blank avatar?

It's silly, but I tend to think they have something to hide. Perhaps they're simply too busy to choose an avatar or upload a picture.

Not everyone wishes their likeness(?) to be portrayed for the entire population of the globe to see.
Not everyone is operating a computer with an O/S that is capable of producing a healthy avatar.
The answer on the internet is trust NO-ONE unless that person is known to you.
