I have 2 PCs both with IE7 and Firefox. One PC shows all sites with either browser. The other shows all sites with IE, but with Firefox, some sites come up with a blank screen. (Notably eBay and Google). It's only started doing this recently. Firefox Options are the same on both machines. Deleting Firefox and reinstalling doesn't solve the problem. Ideas please.

I don't think it's a problem with the sites - Google should work on Firefox! No problems with Firefox on the other machine. I've tried both Version 1.5 and Version 2 - same problems with both. I've also tried deleting "Mozilla" under "Application Data" and reinstalling - same problems.

IE will accept sloppy coding, FireFox is more discriminating in what it will render.
Generally developers check the sites will work for IE as that is the most popular browser currently.

Spread the good word of FireFox, and developers will listen!!

I am a technophobe, but if it's any help I run firefox and there a quite a few sites I cannot fully access. I can do my Asda shopping but cannot complete checkout. Very frustrating.

Good luck and I willl watch to see what the clever people say.

Is Javascript disabled or do you have an add-in/plugin disabling Javascript? Google and Ebay require javascript to function properly...methinks.

More information would be needed to solve that problem.

Particularly interesting would be any differences between the two computers.
