Definately Venice because it is so romantic! It's is a woman's dream to be in Italy with their husband on a romantic holiday! That's what I would do cause although Barccelona is great, has great nightlife and there's lots to do, in Venice you can relax heaps and it's awesome for shopping!!!!! Hope I helped. :) Good luck. :)

Venice is a wonderful cliché, more intimate, more lovely and more shocking than you could expect. No matter how many pictures or films you may have observed, it is still a jaw-dropping experience viewing Venice's canals and palaces for initially and that you'd do with assistance from this page hotelbye . Certainly Venice's best-known church and one of the most easily recognized in the world is St. Mark's Basilica (Basilica di San Marco). This basilica was actually the Doge's private chapel, furnished with Byzantine artwork treasures that are part of the booty cut back by Venetian ships after the drop of Constantinople. The gold-backed mosaic pictures above the doorways on the façade only trace at the mosaic artistry inside, where 4,240 square yards of gold mosaics cover the walls. So, the St. Mark`s Basilica is really a place worth visited.

Shame there was not Vienna. the best in Europe that's why I now live there! Venice is a great place if all expenses like the ferries are paid. since they can be very expensive. but still does not match Vienna. with transport and what to see.
Barcelona my friend came back from and really enjoyed but he speaks Spanish. I think you will have to find out how good your Italian or Spanish is to really enjoy. yes both countries have English in the hotels and some tourist area's, most people in the city of Vienna have English/German.
What a thing to say, would your wife say that about you?
I tour Europe and would never go without my good wife, even though she sometimes wishes I would for the Independence. But never to share a great time of that type of offer.

If it's 5* I would recommend Venice every time! You get a lot more for your money in Italy and I can only imagine how spectacular a top Venice hotel would be - gondolas out front waiting for you, perfect service, on the Grand Canal (I expect) brilliant! I do love Barcelona, don't get me wrong, but I've been to both places twice and going to Venice again in Sept. It's a wonderful place.

Yes - I'd go to Venice. Seeing as you have accommodation etc paid then you are getting more money's worth in Venice as you can go and stay in Barcelona cheaper than Venice.
Have a lovely time !

I'd recommend Venice, too.
I lived in Barcelona for a year. It's a huge city and can be smoky, raunchy, loud, lots of traffic, thousands of bars, hookers, pushers, and drunks, but also has great sights and interesting architecture. It's also close to Sitges, a great seaside resort town just 30 minutes away.
But Venice is so totally unique and amazing, and you can see nearly all of it in a weekend, whereas in Barcelona you'd barely scratch the surface in one weekend.

Well it depends on what kind of a person you are! If you prefer a more lay back vacation with romance and stuff go to Venice! But if you prefer sightseeing, shopping and going out, then Barcelona is the place for you! I've been to both places and I like them equally, but if I had to chose where to spend my vacation I'd choose Barcelona! There's a lot more to see and its a lot more vivid!

Remarkably small as it is, that riverside town looms big on the world's'must-sees'list. Situated at the centre of the city's major market district, the Basilica di San Lorenzo is one of many oldest churches of Florence and was the burial place of all of the key members of the Medici family.
