I'm ashamed to say I have actually talked to my cats on my answering machine but not while I was at work. I was calling someone else and since they didn't answer I got silly and said, " hey kitty kitty one of you all answer the phone please. " Then I think I did it one other time when I knew no one was at home and I have no clue why. LOL.

No, Bambi, our cat of 18 years died but sure would have during our 2 weeks in Europe as she was very put out and made sure we knew it when we got home though our son fed her and played with her daily so she wasn't lonely.

OMG I used to work 3rd and when i couldn't get my husband to answer the phone to get up in the mornings, i would call my dog over the answering machine hoping that he would bark or whine and it would wake someone up.
