I am thinking of buying a HDMI dvd/Hard Drive recorder.
Will I be able to edit out the ads etc, before burning to disc? Also will I be able to transfer to my PC for editing?
I would be grateful for any help.
Thanks

Well, I've got a Sony RDR-HXD560, and editing anything on the hard drive is a piece of cake.

You can chop out adverts, edit programme length and re-arrange the recording order, before burning to a DVD.

I just figured all DVD recorders with HDD offered that basic function (it appears that the cheapo ones from Argos and the supermarkets don't. Maybe that is why they are cheap...).

twisted has hit the nail on the head.

YES, given a little pratice you could edit a film, and no-one would know it had adverts.
