Forgive is one thing, but there are consequences to everything you do; good or bad.
Many will forgive if he owns up to this, but he'll be required to do some prison time with a plea, and many years, if convicted.
He may play again, but not in the USA.

Well even if the rumors are true and the prosecutors are going to let the bastard slide with only a year in prison, I don't see anyway with the NFL's "get tough" policy that this guy is going to get less than a 2 year suspension after he's out of prison.
So that's going to be 3 years. He has absolutely violated the terms of his contract with Atlanta and they will be under no legal obligation to even consider him back.
Forget the "forgive and forget" BS. When more of the videos come out of Vick and his cohorts torturing these dogs to death etc. he's toast! 85% of NFL fans are dog lovers! There isn't an NFL team whose fans would allow their owners to take Vick on after this.
Nobody wants to become "the most hated team in the league" deliberately, its very bad for business. No, Vick's career is effectively over as of right now. Someone suggested he might play outside the US. Where? The NFL Europe league is closed down (besides the Europeans have a lot less tolerance for this kind of ugly brutality than Americans and so do the Canadians, so the CFL is out of the question too) Maybe by the time he's done with his suspension, a new league will be starting up in Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Chechnia or Kazakstan? I hear they love their violence with lots of blood and guts over there.............

He will do time...but he is probably going to plead guilty with all the co-defendants testifying against him...If he goes to trial thinking he will get off, his career is over...He'll do about 6 years, which will put him past his prime...I think people may forgive in the future, but its not going to happen right away...Animal cruelty strikes a nerve in most normal people...

PETA people won't. They care more about animals than people. Vick gets more coverage then that a hole Benoit that killed his family. Some athlete will do something stupid to make people mad again. Vick by that time will have served time and no one will care.

Hopefully everyone will stop talking about this loser and get back to the winners in the game. His football career is over.

He's going to jail. I'd say there is a 50% chance he will be suspended for life when he does get out of jail.
