That the resort was so safe she didnt give it a second thought that the children wouldnt be safe.
Yet the Portuguese media are reporting that Mark Warner staff actually approached them and informed them there are cases of burglarys every month, and asked them to take babysitting.
So she must have thought of safety, even if only burglaries, as a child would be mortified to witness a burglar in their room.

You can bet your bottom dollar that the McCanns travellers cheques and passports were safely locked away in a safe.

Pity they didn't extend the same courtesy to their kids.

I too read that interview and found it slightly, no make that VERY, alarming that the prospect of ANYTHING (not abduction, that is so rare but fire, accidents, choking etc...) going wrong didn't enter the heads of 2 well educated doctors.

Scary.

In the original Sol article, it stated that she had shown concerns BEFORE they went on holiday at the lack of babysitting facilities on offer at the resort. Obviously, this has not been proven, but I thought it interesting nonetheless.

The McCanns should be prosecuted for child neglect. If an average joe left their kids alone whilst on holiday or in this country they'd get charged. The point I am making is why haven't the McCanns been investigated? They should be, and I hope they're feeling guilty and they both burn in hell!!!

If this is the case they ought to be prosecuted - they really are the most appalling parents I have heard of.

The point is that you should be able to leave anything anywhere and not have someone run off with it- I know that because some people have no respect for others that we must be more careful with everything we have, but really, if your kids aren't safe in a locked hotel room then maybe we should have them surgically attached to us for life- and, if as it would appear (the McCanns are not, as far as I am aware, yet under suspicion of nastiness), that she was taken to order, then she would have been taken at some other point during the holiday.
The McCanns are beating themselves up daily for leaving them alone, so stop blaming them for the despicable actions of others.

If they had a babysitter they wouldn't be able to do what ever it is that they did would they.

Burglaries are different from child abduction and murder , in my book. Yeah, I still think she was wrong to leave the kids but well, i still think the two are totally different.
Are the hotel to blams as well, seeing how they were AWARE of the situation?

Storm, my sincerest apologies, I picked you up wrong.
