1: answer a LOT of questions in just one or two categories; don't spread yourself all over the board because then you don't get anough answers in just one category.
2: find a question in that category that gets asked A LOT and come up with a standard answer that you can "cut and paste" to answer that question. For example, go see a new movie that just came out, write your opinion of it and "cut and paste" that answer for every question in the Movies category that asks about that particular movie. (I did that pretty much with 1408.)
3: don't waste time on things that don't help you reach your goal. In the time it took you to ask this question, you could have answered 5 questions in one category. Don't bother to give "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" since that doesn't get you any closer to being a "top contributor."
4: give thorough and useful answers since people appreciate it and are more likely to give you the "best answer" award.
5: watch the questions you answered in your list of answers and, if they go into voting, vote for yourself. It's perfectly legal, everyone does it and sometimes you'll win "best answer" simply because you were the only one to vote.

A Top Contributor is someone who is knowledgeable in a particular category. Each Answers user can be a top contributor in up to three categories

Its not true about having 10% best answer, I have 17% and they took mine away because I was out of the country for 4 months so I couldnt get online, but what i was doing was being on all the time and answer as many questions as i could, and it just happend.
When I get home I can easily get it back.

Keep getting best answers in a particular category.
Just go to one category that you think you're good at and give really good answers so that you're answer gets selected as best.

I think you should answer 10 questions every day in one category ,between them 1 or2 best answers

You have to have at least 10% of your awnsers to be bestt awnser, basicly giving out very good awnsers and hope that at least 1 out of 10 of them hit the spot!

All You have to do is spend half Your life answering questions in any given section of "Answers".

Not sure. I stopped participating for about 8 months, when I got back on alot has changed and I never re-read the rules...I don't care what the rules are, and it just happened.
