I had my car broken into a few years ago now while I was inside a supermarket - during the day too so it was broad daylight!!!! They stole my sterio, and I was distraught. Its not just the fact that they took it, its that someone I didnt know had been searching through my car.
Anyway, got police down who took finger prints off the car etc. And I'm pleased to tell you that the little bugger got caught! It wasnt for about a year later - he got caught doing the same thing to someone else (matched the fingerprints), but I was so pleased that he did get caught.
So what im saying is that there is a chance they will get caught if you had your car fingerprinted.
Are they made to suffer -NO. most of the time they get a slap on the wrist - stupid law system!!

My car was broken in to a couple of months ago and it is such a horrible experience. Like you, they didn't exactly take thousands of pounds worth of stuff, but it's not the money, it's the feeling of violation.
When the police did eventually bother to turn up to finger print the car it was a bit of a relief. I guess the little gits haven't been caught yet because I've not been informed about any prosectiion- but they are on the system now. So, if they get arrested for anything else- they will get prosecuted for that as well as breaking into my car. It's what the newspapers mean when they say "Joe Bloggs asked for 90 other offences to be considered".
Justice will prevail eventually I'm sure

It is a totally stupid situation, where in many cases, like yours, the victim suffers far more than those that carry out the crime. This is what makes it so easy for people to carry out and get away with petty crime. If they are caught, they may get a warning, or a few months community service, and the money from selling the goods they stole. The victim, however, just has to shell out more money.
I doubt they will be made to suffer, and I'm quite sure they really don't care.

The same reason crime victims here in the US suffer , if you noticed about the time Clinton was in power , those who wanted to be police officers went in to the field of " Law Enforcement " after Liberal Rule ,and the birth of the ACLU , it is now called a Degree in "Criminal Justice" , just as the ACLU stands for "American Civil Liberties Union" but based on their actions they are actually the American Criminals Liberty Union , Both Nations have lost their way , everyone is so worried about the humane and proper treatment of the criminal and never think about the suffering of the victim , H*ll in America's Northern States with liberal judges you can molest a child , and only get a few weeks community service ( cleaning parks that more children play in) and the Victims get a hand shake and the words " I am sorry for your loss" by the Preacher....were in the h*ll is the justice , Criminal justice is nothing but Victim Suffering...

There is so many of these little filthy dirty scumbags about I'm afraid. They do not fear getting caught because there are no proper police on the streets and even if they are caught they don't go to prison and serve a proper sentence like they should.
I have had my car broken into twice when it has been parked outside my front door!! I put a steering lock on it every time I leave it and I never leave valuables on show. It is a sad state of affairs, these scumbags should be strung up by their genitals from a lampost.

Illeagal immigrants being deported - properly they're observed as unlawful so they have broken the regulation to get right here - in case you or me smash the regulation we are punnished are not we? what type of message is that sending out! And dont even get me began on the reality that Turkey could be growing to be a member of the E.U this u . s . would be raped previous all theory if that occurs and the labour occasion or maximum others could have great britain bend over to it!! additionally seem what the european has accomplished to our fishing industry? the fishing villages would be extinct if this includes on!! something ought to be accomplished and there is basically one individual for the activity i've got faith it incredibly is obvious!! Because you contributed to the crime by your negligence, you have been told time and time again in newspapers on Tv and radio , "do not leave anything of value in your car", Insurance companies are right to refuse cover if you are silly enough to encourage crime.
I would like to bet you don't do it again!

They need to punished for sure. I sometimes think, as we are now in Afghanistan, we should buy cheap Heroin and give it out to the users. This would minimise greatly their need for money and save the rest of us a mountain of stress and anger.
