If the original cost was Rs. 450, the sale price would be,
= 450 - (450 x 15/100)
= 450 - 67.50
= Rs. 382.50
and since he's an employeee, he gets an additional 20 % off, so
=382.50 - (382.50 x 20/100)
=382.50 - 76.50
= Rs. 306 is the final price he pays

Rs.450.00 * 0.85 * 0.8
Rs.382.50 * 0.8
Rs.306.00

Answer: He pays Rs.306.00

Proof:
1st discount at 15%: Rs.450.00 * 0.15 = Rs.67.50
Discounted price @ 15%: Rs.450.00 - Rs.67.50 = Rs.382.50
2nd discount @ 20%: Rs.382.50 * 0.2 = Rs76.50

Formula:
Original price - (1st discount + 2nd discount) = discounted price
Rs.450.00 - (Rs.67.50 + Rs.76.50) = discounted price
Rs.450.00 - Rs.144.00 = discounted price
Rs.306.00 = discounted price
