If you take the story from where Virgil picks up, Aeneis sails to Italy, and founds Rome. Thus, the Trojans finally pay the Greeks back once Sulla sacks Athens to finalize the end of Greek hegemony

They fled as refugees in different directions.

The villages and towns of the kingdom of Troy were refounded after the Greeks had departed : they appear in historical writings and the people are still called Trojans.

In myth some Trojans fled to other countries. Some went with Prince Helenus, a son of King Priam to Epirus in western Greece and founded a kingdom there.

Others settled in Egesta in Sicily.

In Roman legend, the followers of Aeneas also sailed to Italy and founded Troy. Although in the original Greek story Aeneas retreated to Mount Ida and refounded the Trojan royal family there.

After the Trojan war, most of the Trojans were either killed or made into slaves but some of them escaped and went to various lands, some impotant ones being Andromache(Prince Hector's wife),(Queen Helen, who went back to Sparta to be with Menelaus),and the most important one would have to be Aeneis, who held the sword of Troy(the legend being"As long as a Trojan holds thins sword,Troy has a home")and founded Rome.

At the close of the Trojan War, most of the city had been destroyed, the king killed, and the situation seemed absolutely desperate. Aeneas gathered up enough survivors to fill a few ships and fled Troy at once. After several years and countless obstacles, Aeneas and his men, aided by his mother, Venus, finally arrived in Italy.. forming what one day would be known as Rome.
