It depends on what sense you are talking about. If you are concerned with exposed surface area, then Taiwan is the winner. But Hawaii is the biggest mountain in the World! You just can't tell because it's mostly under water. So in that sense, Hawaii would probably be bigger.
Everest only has it's title as highest because it sits on a Plateau.

well, Hawaii is made up of small islands, and Taiwan is just one hunk of land, I think if yo put all the islands together for hawaii, the size is almost equal.
