If you're quiet do others mistake you being quiet for something else ?
I don't really talk to people unless I know them or I have a reason and people often mistake that for different things...being rude, mad, stuck up, ******, or they just think I'm shy. Or some think you have something to hide. If people talk to me I talk back.
Why do others think you have to talk nonstop ?

What you described right there is just like me and people too have this misconception about me that I'm unfriendly and aloof. It used to affect me but now I don't really care. Why should I talk when there's nothing to talk about.

I used to be so shy! I wouldn't even talk to my grandparents. Now I have gained confidence but I'm still shy and only talk a lot to familiar people, family, friends and younger kids. I love being with younger kids, that's when i talk the most and really get my shell cracked!

I'm right there with you. I am not a big talker, only because I am a little shy. But I get called all sorts of things, like stuck up and etc.

No, I am not a quiet person. There are many times I wish I could be comfortable just being quite.

I know what you mean, im a quiet person and i only talk to people i know, my friends know im shy, but some don't and call me lairy :/

I am the same way, if I don't know people i just listen but some people take it that I am a bi*ch. oh well, I will say something when I am ready. lol♥j

Sometimes you need to talk just so that it wont be awkward even if you dont want to talk to that person...its part of life, you cant help it.

this is how iam when i first meet them im really quiet but when i get used to them i talk alot more and more outspoken

i believe Cooley.. what's the priority then? Do u unlike having the ladies like u? Or R u gay and want the adult men to return up and refer to u? If u do no longer want the ladies to communicate to u and ur no longer gay, then in simple terms say that ur gay so that they'll give up speaking to u.
