It should be Uthappa and Gambhir, especially with both of them being young and both getting half centuries in the match against Scotland. Karthik is a good option too but I would prefer to see Robin and Gautam. I think Ganguly and Tendulkar would be better in the middle order where they can work the ball around and pick the singles leaving it to Dhoni to finish with a BANG.

in one day matches the best opening pair would be sachin and saurav. their experience would be use full in giving a strong foundation to innings.
but dinesh kartick can also be a substitute. India should go with a right and left combination for opening.

i think it should be gambhir and utthappa or they can replace one with Karthick if they think these threee are teh best contenders for opening the innings against England but I think they should keeep Gambhir and can decide with utthappa or Karthick coz a left handed batsman should be good.plezzzz vote as best answer if u feeel sooo!!!!!
