Good question.
1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp peppermint dried leaves.
Blend together and place into a container, wet toothbrush and brush two to three mintues.
This is the original toothpaste, so to speak. Peppermint freshens the breath, kills bacteria and keeps circulation of blood to gums making them healthy. It's still important to floss to remove plaque from between teeth.
Baking soda kills odor and removes tartar, while salt helps to scrub gently, plus baking soda keeps the PH balanced and works as a water softening agent without softening the toothbrush.
If you are wanting whitening power to the powder, add 1 tsp powdered sage instead of peppermint.
All natural way to go. Dandly Yours, Dandelion

You can use baking soda AS toothpaste (if you can stand the taste of it), but why would you want to mix them? Neither soda nor toothpaste should cause any tartar (eating does that).
Brushing your teeth with either product is ok.

try mixing baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and water. Not too much of the liquids cause you want a paste consistancy.Doesnt taste too great but its one of the best ways to clean teeth.

I wouldn`t mix them, but baking soda really cleans the teeth and helps with odors, use on occasion, not on a daily basis.

I think it will benefit your teeth and it'll make them whiter but you shouldn't use it all the time cuz it may damage them after some time
