I mean its been 2hrs and 30min and i have scanned about 105 000... when does the scan end?? Please help me!

thats nothing i have avast an it took over 3 hours scanning over 450.000

It ends when it has examined every file on your computer. After the first scan, you should set it to do a "smart" scan and to monitor your internet sessions for virus invasions. Then the next time it scans it won't take so long.

You can reduce this time by running CCleaner first in the future; that way you're not wasting time scanning temp files and cookies, etc. (You will have removed them.)

It depends on how many files you have on hd/hd's
Its worth the wait.
