There is some problem with the VGA connector or the power connector of the 15" monitor..Check the same at a good service centre, before ur PC gets damaged or u get an electric shock..

Check Power cables first - whether loose or its firmly fixed
check vga cable next...Remove at both ends and clean it and try fixing again...

do rate if it helped

1. Note down the type of 15" monitor from the manual / book supplied (VGA / SVGA etc.,, and driver required)

2. connect the 17" with the CPU and check whether the OS can support the 15" monitor and whether or not the drivers required for 15" is installed?

3. install required drivers from the OS disk and retry.

4. if it doesn't solve the problem, there could be some H/W related issues (display card). please consult a H/W service person.

Good Luck.

Your Central Processing Unit works with the 17" monitor, but not with the 15" one,...........what? Do you mean you use the 17", and it works fine. But you turn the computer off, install the 15", and it restarts automatically? You do turn the computer off when you switch monitors, right? Your computer's OS 'sees' another monitor, probably a different type, and switch's the drivers for it, especially if you're goin' from a flat screen LCD to a CRT!

VGA cable or connector could be bad. OR current display resolution set by PC is too high for the 15 inch unit.

well, your 15 inches monitor is not working properly, or maybe your monitor doesn't support vga.
