Actually I buy more frozen. I like fresh produce, but after being in several well-known grocery stores and seeing bugs crawling around the different fruits and veggies I decided that was the way to go. I don't like the metallic taste of canned goods unless I can it myself (in glass jars) or get it from someone I know. I know you should wash produce/fruit when you get it home, but who knows how many other insect families were created on the plums or in the asparagus? Talk about creepy! There's not enough water to wash out the image. Bananas are different--my favorite fruit and since I like them very yellow with a touch of green, I feel confident that the bugs didn't breach the peel.

Fresh produce. Frozen will do in a pinch, but never canned.

fresh produce. canned veggies have way too much salt and they just don't taste right. sometimes I get frozen too. That's not so bad.
