Perhaps, but you have to define "better" better lol. By better do you mean better players? MLS can attract quality players. However, the level of competition and the QUALITY of play in Mexico is very high. Any team can win on any day, thus making it a bit difficult to gamble on the games... with MLS the competition and quality of play are good but the outcome of games are slightly easier to predict. A problem shared by both leagues is that they lose their home-grown talent to other leagues, but MLS has an advantage in that it can better attract world class players to the league. Every league has something to offer, so just enjoy. There is no point in arguing over them because no one can truly validate which league is better (opinions are not facts). However, there is a lot of money pouring into MLS, so things can only get better!

This question has been asked on this forum before. The two leagues are close enough in their respective levels that the right answer is really a matter of opinion.
In my humble opinion, the Mexican league is still slightly better; but the MLS is constantly improving and has narrowed the gap considerably. The MLS has an enormous amount of potential and if soccer's popularity continues to grow it will inevitably surpass the Mexican league simply by virtue of overwhelming resources.
You should watch the results of the Superliga competition this year and in the years to come. That should offer a good head to head comparison. Of course, Mexican fans will argue that these games are played during their preseason and so their teams are not at their best. There is some truth to this, but I have noticed that whenever Mexico looses to the U.S. at soccer - even at games that matter and Mexico is well prepared for e.g. The Gold Cup - Mexican fans always proffer some lame excuse. C'mon guys, learn to accept defeat graciously.

No doubt MLS is getting better but lets be hones, ML is still agead of the MLS.
When will we see a MLS team win a Sudamericana or a Libertadores cup. Imagine the Galaxy taking a win over Boca Jrs., Colo Colo, River, santos de Brasil mmmmmmm I think this stills to far from now..... and mexican teams have already done those things.
