is it okay for a 12-year old and a 16 year old? my 2 younger cousins are asking me. what are the side effects and what other products should we used with it and also where to find this?

Kojic acid can irritate the skin. It inhibits melanin production.
I wouldn't mess w/ it because over the counter skin lighteners like kojic acid & hydroquinone can lead to hypopygmentation.
To deal w/ pigmentation issues, see a dermatologist to be safe.
