I mean, at home my mom freezes beef that she buys from local butcher shops. What's wrong with freezing beef?

I used to manage for Wendys. They used to bring the meat in fresh in big bags and we put it through a patty making machine. Now they bring the pattys already made but not frozen. As for discarding, Wendys discards very little. They take the unsold cooked patties boil them and put them in Wendy's chili. They have very little waste there and some of the methods might gross you out. I don't eat there anymore nor do I eat at Burger King after being a manager for them and witnessing what goes on in the back.

They are called preservatives. Flash freezing something seels in freshness... freezing something at low temp and thawing and unthawing makes nasty meat. Many nice restaraunts get in vacum packed frozen steaks and maintain high quality. They dont freeze because of incompitance, they cant maintain the quality. So how do we keep meat from going bad quickly? Preservatives. Look on the nutrition and type in the ingredients to find out whats in these things. Bread should be salt flour water yeast, maybe sugar and butter... look whats really in it. Additionally meat shouldnt need a label.... it should just be meat. Additional proof... eat a few burgers and you become extremely dehydrated... 2 Mcdonalds double cheese burgers is enough sodium for a day... in 15 minutes. Salt can be used as a preservative, as well is sugar, depending on the application.

They say they don't freeze it but they didn't say anything about not keeping it refrigerated a few degrees above the freezing point. Even if they have a fresh supply of meat there is no way they can't keep it from spoiling without refrigeration.

They just play with words, non of that meat is 100% fresh; only killing the cows on the parking lot they would be telling the true.

They put the meet in a walk-in freezer. Its not frozen but its like 38 degrees, they get a new shipment of meat about every week or so. They don't throw out the old meat either they put it in a cooler nex to the grill where it stays fresh.

I selected to eat Wendy s because the name reputation. I order two chicken sandwich and an ice tea. Four hours later I was vomiting, having diarrhea, and was completed dehydrated on bed. The doctor told me I had food potion. Later on I googled and found out that Wendy s doesn t freeze their meet, what a bummer. Thanks but no thanks but Wendy’s is no on my list anymore.

They probably refrigerate, but as far as freezing meat goes... it DOES lose flavor every time you freeze/thaw meat (which is why Wendy's and In-n-Out patties taste better than other fast food chains' patties).

It takes away some of its freshness. Try it. Buy some red meat, then put it in the freezer. Thaw it out in like five days, and you'll notice a big difference (it became darker).

I guess they just refrigerate it...and there's nothing wrong with freezing it. If Wendy's doesn't freeze it, then they can claim that its fresh.

Wendy's gets there patties fresh, every day and discard the remainder at night.

any meat has to go direct to cold or it would be like a cat or dog run over by the road and would be pretty smelly if it was not put in to cool.
