Basically, if you want to go into management someday, get a 4 year degree. In my area at least, there really is no pay difference between those with a certificate, associate, or bachelors degree. A rad tech is a rad tech. All you need to pass the registry is a certificate from an accredited school.

I agree with RadTech. I have been a registered technologist for over 15 years. I completed a hospital based program, and currently hold 6 state and national licenses. I have never had a perspective employer ask to see my diploma, or even inquire about my education. They just want to see my licenses. There is no difference in pay.

i am currently going to school in a 2 year school. in so cal. your starting pay is from 22.00 - 30.00 a hour in a hospital in my area. i do not know the starting pay for a 4 year degree but i plan on getting my 4 year once i land a job. the employer will usually pay for you to get a bachelors degree, also you cannot be a department head with a 2 year degree.

its not all the info you wanted but i hope it helps
