I know exactly how you are feeling and the best advice I can give is "fake it until you make it." If you want the respectability that comes with age, dress more maturely. If you are worried that someone who works for you won't respect you, or that a client will not hire you because of your age, just pretend you aren't worried and prove to them that you know what you are doing. Eventually, they'll stop thinking about your age and begin thinking about what you know. And, believe it or not, the people you talk too will probably be jealous of you. I remember once meeting a couple of teenagers in Vegas who had begun their own website company and ended up making thousands of dollars creating a website for a university. I was about ten years older and jealous as hell that they were so successful at such a young age. Many people will be willing to give you a hand to help you, and they will probably envy you the journey in the meantime.
Just FYI, watch The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch on CNBC (Monday - Friday at 7PM). He constantly interviews people who started their business in their early twenties and even in their teens who made a million dollars and are now hugely successful. It's a great show for the nervous entrepreneur.
Hope this helps.

One of my current bosses was 25 when I met her. I am about 2 years older than she is and I completely respect her. She is a great person and a great leader.
I wish you the best of luck in all your business ventures.

Age do not matter, if you want the job than you have to respect your boss, when you apply and see he is young and if you think you can not take order from a younger man than do not apply for the job.

I would ask to see your Journeyman's card if you plan on doing the work yourself .
Seen wayyyy too many screw ups from sparkys that thought a few months of OJT on some construction job was adequate training .
Of course , anyone doing electrical work should be given the 3rd degree . . . their screw ups can cost you a home or even your life !

Know your stuff. Act the role. Respect your employees and demand respect in return.
The universe gives us what we want.
