Is it true that you can use any cell phone (not associated with your carrier) by inserting your original SIM card from your carrier?
For example, using an AT&T phone with a T-Mobile SIM card...

Yes you can use like equipment on different carriers for example an ATT phone on TMobile. You will however need to contact ATT to get the subsidy unlock code for the phone. Be prepared to wait 5-7 days for the code they wont release it over the phone they have to request it too.

ATT phones will not work on Tzone and Tmobile phones wont work on Media Net so you wont be able to get on the internet get ringtones, send or recieve pictures ect.

yes you can. you can interchange gsm phones amongst all gsm carriers. gsm carriers are basically any carrier that use a sim card besides nextel and boost those are a diff network. but in order to do that the phone must be unlocked and in order to use that companys internet on that phone you have to call customer service and change the gprs settings in that phone. not all phones will be able to work on their internet but u will be able to send txt messages and make calls u can not send picture messages.
