Short of developing amnesia or dementia or having electroshock treatments I don't see this as a possibility.
You need to contact someone who
specializes in helping you to cope with
your memories, for trying to suppress them would only cause them to flare up elsewhere. Go seek therapy; what
do you have to lose besides bad memories?

If that could happen we wouldn't need counselors. I repressed a memory for many years. It came back with a vengeance. Not the thing to do. Usually if you talk about this and deal with it it will become less traumatic.
Have you ever experienced a life threatening experience like running into a bear in the woods or meeting up with a rattlesnake. What is the first thing you would do when you get home or meet up with some one you know. You would tell them about what happened to you in the woods. My experience is when a person has that experience they end up telling this story over and over for years. In that process it become funny. It is called desensitization. If what happened to you is shameful or humiliating then it is scary to talk about it can become a severe mental health problem. If that person didn't talk the bear experience he would probably never be able to go back into the woods.
Don't use hypnosis- That is a short term fix if it works at all. Nothing can be removed from your memory. Oh, you can store it away but it will creep out at the most inopportune time and cause you more problems then you can imagine.
Get help. It will all be ok and so will you.

certain events from our memory , can never be erased . i.e, if u want to be a normal like others .... and it also depends on what u wanna for get .....
n if u r really trying to forget something, which has hurt u (mentally) then u must learn to divert u r mind from what has happened , for a few day keep u r self away from everything that reminds u of what ever u wanna forget , if u r not able to get those things out of u r mind , change u r life style talk more to people who really care for '' u '' , may be u ll for get the things u wanted too .... at lest for few days ..
(and try to learn from what ever has hurt u )- thats life :)

Sometimes erasing is not the answer. Those memories you think you have expelled from your mind will pop back up at the worst times. It is best to face things, maybe accept them, know that you didn't ask for bad things to happen and move on. You have to learn from things too, to use your knowledge in life. It works! I am living proof! Good luck!

simply do not think about this event .. and 4 that, think of it as something not important and doesn't worth remembering it .. then you'll be convinced that its not something to remember .. therefore, totally gone event ..
