This is such a screwed up question. Have you already had the wedding, been late, & are trying to come up with a reason for being late that he will believe? What is wrong with the truth? Or are you just about to get married & plan on being late? I'm going to assume that you are already married. If you are starting out your marriage with disbelief & trust issues, I don't think your marrage has a chance of surviving very long. Why were you really late, & why doesn't he believe you? By the way, it's spelled wedding. AND it's spelled believe. Good Luck. You will both need it.

My hubby was 1 hour late to our wedding, as he was up at the house getting a shower and they all left to get to the church and left him there . it got so bad his mom made a announcement to the whole church that he was not coming and for every one to go home. but luckily his brothers realized he wasnt there and they went and got him and then forgot his tux and they had to take him back to get that, and the minister told everyone to stay put as he was in the back with butterflies in his stomach and the wedding would be held up about 10 mins but was procedding as planned. we laugh about it now as we have been married 10 yrs, and so i wouldnt stress over it, and u need to tell your hubby the truth and quit trying to make excuses. he married u and that is all that matters, tell the truth and quit going around in circles with him and make yuor married life an honest one not dishonest, as u are trying to do...

Don't look for an excuse that sounds better than the truth. Just keep telling him the truth.

Why would you want to be late for your wedding, 5 10 mins is ok but any longer than that and you would be disrespecting your guests.

The truth is best and it would make you sound suspicious if you change your story for a "better" excuse.
