I was divorced about three years ago, and I thought hey, now I can do what I want. I am really learning now that I should'nt have. I purchased a new truck because I needed one and I went over my head... Thats costing 579 a month and now I am 3 to 4 months behind. I have lots of credit debt, about 12,000 bucks. I am going to file for bakruptcy soon. I feel like theres no getting out of this. I am a smart person just made some dumb decisions, What kind of advice do you have for me, I feel a little Confused.

you took a big step asking for help -- here what i would do -- chances are you can not get out from under the truck with out losing your shirt -- it is time to downsize not seek bankruptcy-- i have read enough sad tales to make my think that is the last resort -- get rid of you Internet service -- cell phone -- cable TV -- that will get you what 175 a month --- than no more fast food take you lunch to work -- peanut butter and jelly has a lot of protein and sugar -- do not charge anything on your credit cards -- in fact cut them up but do not cancel -- get the truck payments caught up and at the same time pay the minimum payments on the credit cards -- than take the credit cards and pay them down down with a increase payment above the minimun balance --- you are looking a rough road -- in your case about two and half to three years!!!

Plan better. Be realistic. Be honest with yourself. Learn why you're making bad decisions.

I'm not trying to be a wise guy. It's truly as simple as that. It will take hard work and determination on your part to get there.

Feeling sorry for yourself will only make it worse. Start today. Learn all you can about yourself and work on those traits that put you in this position.

You may also find out that there's a connection between what you've done to yourself and your marriage. For example, if you look hard enough you may find poor decision making in finding a girl friend and later spouse.

It's time to be real. It's time to be honest with you!
