I have bailed him out several times and he owes me a lot of money, would it be wrong for me to apply for credit cards/loans in his name?

I know it's illegal, but what if he was ok with it, he knows his credit doesn't matter where he is..

My mom is dead, and I'm an atheist, so I don't think it would bother her.

1- It would be wrong. You cannot ethically defraud a third party to recoup your brother's debt to you.
2-It would be a crime. You cannot legally defraud a third party to recoup your brother's debt to you.
3- It would not work- no credit card or loans will be made available to someone whose credit report shows their current address to be a prison, and who has no reportable income.

Yes, it wouldn't just be wrong, it would be illegal. When he gets out, don't provide further bail or loan him any more money!

The credit card company will not approve your application because of the bad record of your brother.

Your mom would be so proud. 2 kids, in 2 jails.

Go ahead, break the law, get cards, you'll end up just like him.
