Yes...but I'm afraid we will be in the minority and the American Sheeple will never be patriots again. They are already enslaved just like Jefferson predicted they would be. Indeed, one more "terrorist" attack (probably before 9/11) and the Sheep will beg and bleat for Martial Law.
So we will strike on 9/11 and the vast majority will give us the finger and call us "commie cowards" on their way to work.

My question is what good is it going to do? We all stand up for our Country, and true, not many of us support our Government right now. But that is why we as a nation vote. Missing work, (no pay), taking children out of school, (we have enough kids that don't even go), and not buying anything on that day is not going to change our Government. We all remember that horrific day, but no march is going to change anything. I am just as patriotic as the next person, and I too can't wait until the Clown and his goonies get out of the White House. But don't you think this 'march' is just going to bring back more hurt for all those families that lost someone that day? Let them rest in peace and speak out to your State Rep., Congressman, etc. Change doesn't happen with marches, change happens from doing something constructive and with perseverance. Our Government has done nothing in my opinion to capture the creature that organized the tragic event. So let's get some people in office that WILL get him and his followers. If you don't vote, you have no right to complain.

If I could afford to go to New York, I would be there with bells on. But, I am recently bankrupt, recently became unemployed due to corporate outsourcing, and I am trying now to figure out how I am going to find the help I need to move out of where I am living, into an apartment I can afford.
If this world was as it should be, no one would have to sweat over circumstances like this! This is why I am a liberal!
I read over the articles a little bit, and I am still not sure how it will work, but, since I don't have to go anywhere, I will look into it further, and see if this is something I can do, around here! *sm*

For the "no march is going to change anything" crowd... check your history books, as there were times were the 8-hour working day was but a dream, women did not vote and niggers were sub-human. Real changes require a lot of marching, as voting is not enough.

In a word, No.
I work in a state prison. If everyone went on strike, the inmates would get loose.
Holding hands and singing kum-bay-ya won't get anywhere with those jokers.
Similarly, the same feel-good actions will have no effect on the Muslim radicals, nor the Beltway Bunch.

I doubt I will, but I AM going to decide which candidates I am for and will campaign for them, and then on voting days, I will vote for them. I will also for the long term not buy services and products from companies, large and small, that support policies and causes that I strongly disagree with, and I will encourage my friends to do the same.
Change comes from long term strategies, not one day symbolic gestures. Or maybe it does.

I am a Canadian - so - no I cannot particpate -
But I am glad that other can and will - I am truly ashamed for America's media if it has been decided that this (if it does happen) and will not be on TV

"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance" Thomas Jefferson.
That's exactly what our President and troops are doing.
On Sept 11, 2007 I shall be putting my flag out and doing what I normally do.
