Well depression is caused by an imbalance of chemicals in the brain. No, i don't think that depressed people kill themselves because they are not like you or me, because we are happy. I think that depressed people become suicidal because they don't think there is any other way out. Life just becomes too much for them to deal with.
I just read a book It's called "It's kind of a funny story". I would recommend it. It might help you understand, and even if it dosent, it is a good book. A quick read, and is very insightful

Happy people don't make people depressed. I do see your point on how other people in the world give us something to compare ourselves to, but you made a wrong leap in your train of thought.
It is biochemical. Granted how you think has an effect on your brain's chemistry, it also goes the other way around where your brain's chemistry has an effect on the way you think.
People kill themselves out of despair and a wish to end their tortured existence, not because other people are happy and the contrast leads to suicidal thoughts.

Yes, happiness and depression are obviously all in how you look at things since, in the end, its your choice whether you are happy or depressed.
That said, I can't figure out why anyone goes on living. I don't think anyone is happy. I think they're all pretending, just to keep up appearances and because they're afraid of losing something. If you're not happy, no one wants to be around you, you can't get a job, you can't get money, you can't have friends, you can't get laid.
Its all an act. Everyone secretly wants to kill themselves because they know their life is utterly meaningless every moment they aren't so immersed in daily interpersonal conflict and the fantasies of TV and movies that they can actually see their life for what it is.

no because people who commit suicide make that choice and the opinion on what they see bad in their life happy people see life in a good way and want to live and i guess depressed people see life in a different way so no happy people dont cause the way suicidal people look on life

your viewpoint may be correct for "ordinary" depression, the stuff that comes and goes in most peoples' lives.
But for the clinically depression, it is the felling of absolutely no hope that things will ever get better, the feeling that death is the best option that leads to suicide.

Somehow, yes. It's "envy" that pushes them to commit suicide, envy from those happy people.
Depressed people tend to compare themselves to some people that they think more fortunate than they do.
