If you were a member of Congress for a day, what law would you pass?

Yeah, I know but let's assume you had that power to pass any law you want.

Seriously tho, illegalize abortion (with a few exceptions) & illegalize "gay marriage."

(I realize that I just made up the word "illegalize.")

"No member of this congress, nor any other elected government body, shall receive a raise in pay until such time that the national debt is paid off. Furthermore no such member will be eligible for health insurance coverage until every man, woman and child in the nation is fully insured. Nor shall any such member receive any payment for retirement until such time that all citizens who have been employed are eligible for retirement payments. Any member of this body who is found guilty of accepting or receiving ANY payment from any source seeking the member's vote or support of any legislation shall be removed from this body and have all of their earthly belongings taken to help pay the national debt. Any member of this body found to employ any illegal aliens shall give the illegal alien all of their earthly belongings and the member must go live in the illegal aliens country."

That when people reach a certain age that they have to retake the drivers test. I think it would save lives if so many older people were kept off the roads. Especially the ones that pull out in front of you, without looking first, and then drive 30 miles an hour!

I would re-instate the death penalty in all 50 states. Child molesters, rapists, and all first degree murderers would be first up. Child abusers get jailtime with deathrow inmates.No appeals in my courtroom. When you violate somebody elses rights you lose yours. No exceptions. There would have to be 100% proof of guilt or unanimous guilty vote by jury in agreement with judge.(remember, my law)

Also, It seems as though our soldiers are treated as throw-aways when they are done fighting for their country. Just ask our Vietnam veterans. I would make damn sure that our nations finest NEVER GOT TREATED LIKE THAT AGAIN!
The Govt keeps cutting their benefits but they certainly aren't getting any healthier We need to fight today and let Bush know we're onto him before todays soldiers become yesterdays Vietnam veterans.

I wont pass just 1 law but lots more

1. to give longer jail time to rapists
2. to give longer jail time to child molesters
3. to give longer jail time to parents that abuse their children
4. if a person pleas insanity to a killing, ( this goes for mothers too ) to go to loony treatment then after they are done with it, go and do the jail time
5. give a definite jail time to teachers that have a relationship with their students, no matter if they r women or men, and not just let them go with a fine
6. more help for the the elderly
7. not to let cops use excuses to abuse their powers ( how many freaking cops are needed to handcuf a man??)

foreigners must pay the same amount of money for colleges that Americans pay........no double or triple.

That all americans would be treated like the foreigners that come in, no taxes, free money, etc. and that the foreigners get treated like we are, taxed out the ***, etc.

I would change the name of gay marriage. It shouldn't be called that. Marriage is for man and woman. Call it some sort of union. Seriously, not marriage. Or I would just make it illegal. I don't have anything against gay choices, but I just don't approve of "gay marriage"...
