I am still friends with my best friend from high school, but we only talk on the phone a couple times a month and see each other rarely..the rest of my friends I talk to occasionally but I wouldn't consider them my close friends anymore.
After high school everyone's lives change so dramatically and everyone goes in different directions so it is really hard to keep close to your old friends.
Most of the friends I have now I have made at work or met at college. Joiing a sorority or Frat are really good ways to make new friends.

I am still friends with many people I went to high school with. Now, with e-mail, we are in touch on a weekly basis. There are a few I talk to on the phone. My oldest friend and I are still close, and we've been friends since we were one year old. I also have many new friends that I have met in life. I meet people at work, at functions, at clubs (not dance, social), and just going places. I graduated high school over 20 years ago, so I have had many friends for many years.

I can really understand your question, it seemed that after I got married I had one or no friends. It doesn't have to be this way. After my husband died I remarried, then I had few friends too. Now I am happy divorced. I wish I had more friends. The ones I have, are quite younger than me. This is because most of my old friends are in another city. It really depends on how often you work and the stress level. I feel that I will make more friends, my job now doesn't have as much stress. Good luck!

I met this girl, Maz in play group when we were both three years old. We are now 29 & she read a poem at my wedding a few months ago. I am pretty excited for her because her & her hubby are expecting their first bubba.

Long lasting friendships are great. I had 5 high school friends at my wedding & 3 that I met at university.

Not really much anymore. We talk through IMs, but it only lasts for a while. I guess, after a while, there's just nothing TO talk about, really. They have the same interests, but it's just that you're in a different point in your life, and they're still lagging behind. Or they're ahead of you...

Currently, I have friends I met online in chats. It fills the void. =)
