You can get low-end laptops in the Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 range. ACI, Acer and Compaq Presario are some examples.
They are the heaviest among the laptops and also quite depleted in their configuration which do not support certain software and are non-upgradeable.These laptops generally function on a Linux operating system, as compared to better laptops that use Windows XP Professional or Home.Though Linux is an extremely efficient operating system, it is not as user friendly as Windows. Moreover, the most popular and widely prevalent software and systems are still compliant with Windows.
Windows XP Professional is currently the best operating system in terms of office software and ease of use.As a rule, the companies manufacturing these laptops offer no great service support, which could leave you in a tight spot. While you may find that they fit the budget, they are not good investments and one should, as far as possible, not opt for them.
So decide for urself...
Do rate if it helped...

Why buy a Mac laptop if they are running a x86 chipset? I will be the first to concede that when they ran the RISC chips they were faster than x86 for the more computational intensive tasks, but Apple negated that edge by switching to x86-based Intel chips over a year ago.
Buying a Mac laptop and running Windows or Linux is like buying a Ferrari and putting a Yugo engine in it. Granted you look cool, but you're a dumba$$ for doing it. You are spending 20-50% more for the same thing that Dell, Toshiba, or Compaq sells. If you need to run OSX (and I really don't see a reason why you would if you had to ask this question), then getting a Mac laptop is the (only) way to go.
If you seriously have $30,000 to spend on a laptop, get one of the higher end Dell XPS's (Alienware was bought my Dell a couple of years ago, so ignore that post unless you are a hardcore gamer...), take the change and buy a new car, a big screen TV, some stocks, and a couple of hours at your local community college in some computer hardware classes.

Buy a tier 1 laptop, in other words Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, and yes..even Apple Mac's.
Stay away from "cheap" brands. DO buy an extended warranty. I don't recommend that on a desktop, but on a laptop I do. They are more prone to failures, and the cost of repair is much higher. (Get the Extended Warranty with Accident Coverage)
Now, I'm guessing you're talking about 3K not 30K. Decide how big of a monitor you want. I have a 17" wide screen on my HP NX9420, and I love it. But it is a BIG notebook, and is a little heavy for carrying around.
Don't get the "cheap" version of Vista, get a Premium or Business editions, stay away from "Basic" editions.
My favorite two brands are HP and Dell on notebooks.
Get the fastest Duo Core processor you can afford, and a minimum of 2GB of RAM.

A 30k budget? You could get any laptop on the market.Even the most expensive of laptops will still leave you with over 20k.If you want cutting edge go for a Dell XPS or a Alien-ware Aurora.

25-30k? or 2.5-3k? if it incredibly is the 1st then purchase despite the hell you %, not an Acer or Thinkpad in spite of the shown fact that, i've got used the two and that they suck You all realize that $25000 could desire to purchase a spectacular automobile so i think of its 2.5k not 20k
